Celebrating an incredible milestone: WOMAN-2 trial achieves target of 15,000 randomised women

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of recruitment for the WOMAN-2 Trial, with 15,000 women randomised across hospitals in Nigeria, Pakistan, Tanzania, and Zambia. This significant achievement was made possible by the dedication of remarkable individuals, whose collective efforts are shaping the future of women’s health worldwide.

Since the protocol development in 2017, the WOMAN-2 trial has navigated through the complexities of an ever-changing world, grappling with a global pandemic and political upheaval. Despite these challenges, our teams have shown an unwavering commitment.

As we eagerly await the trial results, we want to thank every participant and collaborator who has made the trial a success. Your efforts are contributing to a pool of knowledge that will have a lasting impact beyond our lifetimes.  Your contributions have the power to reshape outcomes for women, providing them and their families with the opportunity for a healthier and brighter future.
